Emily Daccarett was born in Manhattan, Kansas, but raised in Northern California. From an early age, Emily expressed a great interest in the arts and, as a result, was enrolled in dance and voice lessons at just five years old. Her love of performing helped ignite her interest in how the right outfit affected the overall performance.
As time passed, the allure of fashion was so great that without further ado, Emily enrolled into FIDM (Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising) in Los Angeles where she graduated with a degree in Apparel Manufacturing. With a longing desire to experience an entirely different environment and culture, she moved to Paris and quickly fell in love with French cinema and history.
She escalated her studies and graduated from Instituto Marangoni in Paris, developing a different style aesthetic and overall design. Immediately after, she enrolled in the prestigious Ecole de la Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Praisienne, whose repertoire of former students include Yves Saint Laurent, Valentino, Issey Miyake and Karl Lagerfeld.
As a student here, Emily trained under the French techniques of draping and pattern making.
In 2013, Emily Daccarett’s first collection debuted at LA Fashion Week at Concept. This collection presented collaboration with Tiger House films for the short narrative film used to kickoff the runway show.
It has since become tradition for each Emily Daccarett runway show to start off with a detailed short film. The clothing continues to fuse different media outlets together, exploring innovative ideas and growing with each season.
A small universe comes to life with each new collection, encompassing an untold story. Every piece is made in Los Angeles, California, ensuring quality and unique, conceptual design.
